How Self-Awareness Can Help You Grow

Learn to be more self-aware today.

Finding your purpose in life is never an easy task. We live in a busy society where there are things constantly pulling for our attention.

Be honest with yourself. You often feel the things of this world tapping on your shoulder trying to take over, pulling you away from your main goal as a person of faith– focusing on living in a way that glorifies God.

How do you live this life? Better yet, how do you find your purpose? Or, how do you know that the path you are currently on is the right one?

These are questions that Christians have been asking for centuries.

And I wish I was here to tell you that I know the answers… that I can help you find your purpose like many other books you have picked up in the past, but the truth is, I can’t.

I can’t give you a one size fits all guide to living out the life that God gave you. I’m only 21 years old, I don’t have the life experience for that.

I’m writing this for one reason only to help promote self-awareness. To help you not make the mistakes that I have made.

3 Ways to Be More Self-Aware:

  1. Pay attention to your inner dialogue. Are you putting yourself down? Are you thinking negatively of others?
  2. Are you overwhelmed? Try to find the source.
  3. Are you gripped by a stronghold? What is making you feel stuck?

It really boils down to this—noticing things that pull you backward and trying to understand why. After you feel you have come to some sort of understanding, try to then find a way to direct yourself back to God.
